Your own joy-filled original
Whether you’re celebrating a new chapter, looking for a statement piece that lifts your home, or gifting something deeply meaningful, a bespoke commission gives you the opportunity to share the artistic process and co-create a unique artwork that captures your story, energy, and the atmosphere you want to bring into your space.
Commission process
Step 1 : Share Your Vision
We start with a relaxed chat via email or voice/video call. We’ll talk about things like:
- Where the piece will live (room, wall, light in the space)
- What you want it to feel like (calm, electric, joyful, empowering etc)
- Colours you’re drawn to (and any you want to avoid)
- Size, orientation and a rough budget
- Any of my existing works you particularly connect with
You absolutely don’t need to have all the answers. You can come to me with a vibe, a playlist, a Pinterest board or a feeling – I’ll help you shape it into a clear direction.

Step 2 : Your Bespoke Proposal
After our initial chat, I’ll send you a simple proposal that includes:
- Suggested size & materials
- Colour/energy direction for the piece
- Estimated investment
- Expected timeline
- What’s included (e.g. number of check-ins, tweaks, framing options)
To secure your spot in my commissions queue, you’ll pay a non-refundable booking fee (typically 50% of the final price). The remaining balance is paid when your painting is complete and ready to ship.

Step 3 : Creation & Check-Ins
Once you’re happy with the proposal and your booking fee is paid, I’ll head to the studio and start making the magic happen.
During the process, you’ll receive:
- At least one progress update, so you can see the work evolving
- Space to share any gentle feedback while staying true to the intuitive nature of my process
- A final reveal image/video before varnishing and preparing for delivery
I include a round of light refinements at the end, so you feel fully aligned with the finished piece.

Step 4 : Finalise & Delivery
When your commission is complete and the balance is paid, your ready-to-hang artwork is carefully wrapped and shipped, collected, or delivered locally where possible.
You can also send me a picture of your piece in its new home (optional but always my favourite part!).
My collectors often say they notice something new every time they look – textures, marks, tiny colour shifts – so this is designed to be a piece that keeps you company for years to come.

Commission FAQs
How much does a commission cost?
Commissioned pieces are fully bespoke and include a more personalised, collaborative process than my ready-made originals. Because of this added time and care, commissions start from £800 with most clients choosing sizes in the £800–£2,500+ range depending on scale and detail.
Once you share your vision and preferred size, I’ll put together a clear, transparent quote so you know exactly what your investment will be before we begin.
What if I'm unsure on size or colour?
Don’t worry, we’ll look at photos of your space, the light in the room, your existing decor and what you’re craving more of (energy? calm? play?).
I’ll recommend sizes, orientations and colour directions that will genuinely work for you and your space, so you don’t have to figure it out alone.
How does payment for a commission work?
To begin your bespoke artwork, I require a 50% non-refundable deposit, payable via invoice. This secures your place in my commission queue and covers the initial design and painting process. The remaining 50% is due once your commission is complete, just before delivery.
How log does a commission take?
Once you’re booked into my commission queue, most pieces take around 4–8 weeks to complete, depending on size and my current schedule. If you have a specific date in mind, let me know in your enquiry and I’ll do my best to accommodate or advise on what’s realistic.
What if I don't love my artwork?
My goal is always for you to feel deeply connected to your artwork. That’s why we spend time up front getting really clear on energy, colours and size, build in at least one progress update, and include a round of light refinements at the end within the agreed quote.
Because my process is intuitive and expressive, I don’t offer full redesigns, but I’ll always do my best to make sure you feel excited and at ease bringing the piece into your space.
Do you ship commissions?
Yes commissions can be shipped, and shipping is quoted separately based on your location and the size of the artwork. If you’re local, we may also be able to arrange collection or hand-delivery depending on the piece.
